About DegenStake
DegenStake is an independent review and comparison site for crypto sportsbooks. We score custody model, odds quality, payout speed and coin support so bettors can make an informed choice — without wading through marketing copy.
Who writes this
One person, on the record. Alex has been betting since 2010 and following crypto-native books since the first ones appeared — long enough to have watched several of them fold, and to be sceptical of any platform that calls itself decentralized without settling anything on-chain. Every score, every verdict and every caveat here is his. If something is wrong, tell us and it gets fixed with the correction noted.
Our methodology
Every listed sportsbook is scored out of 10 against the same four weighted criteria: custody & settlement model (30%), odds & margin (30%), payout speed and treatment of winning bettors (25%), and coin & chain support (15%). The weights are fixed and applied identically to every platform, and each review publishes its four sub-scores so you can check the arithmetic yourself. Full breakdown, including what we can’t verify, in How We Rate Crypto Sportsbooks.
What that means in practice
Because custody carries 30% of the score, genuinely non-custodial platforms tend to finish above custodial ones even when the custodial book prices better. That is deliberate, and it is the main way this site differs from rankings built around welcome bonuses. Stake has the best odds score on the site and still doesn’t top the ranking — because your balance sits with the operator.
Why DegenStake exists
Most "best crypto betting site" lists are ordered by whoever pays the most per signup. This one is ordered by a published formula, and the platforms that pay us nothing frequently outrank the ones that do.
How we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links — if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission. It buys no ranking position and no score. Details in our disclaimer.
